You have absolute freedom when running your webcam show so there are no wrong ways to start, but here are several tips on how to start out.

*NOTE: Chaturbate’s viewers are predominately male so you can definitely make a lot more money if you’re female, but if you’re a male wannabe webcam model don’t let that discourage you. As long as you’re okay with your viewers being mostly homosexual males, you can make very good money.

1. Research

Explore the website and watch some people’s shows just to get an idea of how things work. This will let you get a feel for how much you should be charging, formats, etc.

2. Use tools

There are many built in user developed apps and tools in Chaturbate that will help you out. These include:

• Bots that automatically display messages and rules
• Games that incorporate tipping to make things more engaging for your viewers such as Keno, hangman, and battleship
• Tip goals that automatically update

3. Set goals

This is by far the easiest and most simple way to run your show. Using the built in apps you can set goals that your viewers must reach in order for your show to move on. For example, you can make your first goal something simple like “Take my shirt off” and set the goal for “50 tokens.” This means once your viewers accumulatively tip 50 tokens you take off your shirt for them. The app automatically keeps track of how many tokens remain. As your show progresses your token goals should gradually increase as well.

4. Private shows

Everybody on Chaturbate is different. Some viewers prefer to have some one on one time with a model. You can edit your settings to allow or prohibit private shows, then if you allow them you can set up how many tokens per minute they will cost. During your shows people can send you a request for private and if you choose to accept it will begin charging the viewer however many tokens per minute.

5. Talk! Don’t beg

The more you talk and seem genuinely interested in your viewers, the more they are going to want to stay and tip you for your show. If all you’re doing is sitting in front of your camera begging people for tips they will quickly feel used, irritated, bored, and leave your room. There are plenty of other people willing to fake interest for them.

6. Be a tease

Some people on Chaturbate are going to try to see anything they can for free, so it’s important to use that to your advantage. Don’t be discouraged if people aren’t reaching your goals right away (although eventually it can be a good idea to consider lowering the token amount if you get no activity). People like to be teased and given a sneak preview. It builds the sexual tension and adds to the overall experience that most webcam viewers are looking for.
